A GridGain Systems In-Memory Computing White Paper

GridGain is an in-memory computing platform that delivers unprecedented speed and unlimited scale to modern data-intensive applications. Built on the Apache® Ignite™ open source project, GridGain includes an in-memory data grid, in-memory database, and streaming analytics solutions. It enables high-performance transactions, real-time streaming, and fast analytics in a single, comprehensive distributed data access and processing layer.

GridGain is typically deployed as an in-memory data grid inserted between the existing application and data layers. The systems ACID transaction and ANSI-99 SQL support enable it to be used as a pass through data grid or as the system of record. When these capabilities are combined with the Persistent Store feature, the system can be deployed as an in-memory database with data persistence to disk.
